Hello!

Used to read from afar...

I'm a Brit in Germany with a German wife.

Wife and I have been looking for a new house. Found a 'private sale' incredibly cheap in a very desirable area where we registered interest, but it was 'sold' as soon it appeared online.

Two weeks later my wife recieves an email. It's back on the market!

Instead of German, it's now written in English. She wasn't quite sure how to respond so sent it to me...

· To contact the agency, I need a copy of the ID or passport of the potential customer(s). I have already attached mine to this email.

After receiving the document, I will contact the company and an agent will give you all the required details in order to plan a private visit to the property.

Also, I would like to ask you how do you intend to purchase the property? Can you pay cash or do you need financing?

I understand it will never come to anything but I don't want to kill it with my first email response.

It seems that this scammer knows your name. In that case, ignore it completely. Make up a new name and email address and bait someone else.

1. I have his/her email address. IP originating in Germany. Which is nice as the family are all shacked up in London.

2. His/her fake Spanish ID.

The scammer knows my wife. Not me.

Hence my request.

Still, that's too close, Are you aware that you're dealing with a real criminal here? Drop it. Really. If you want to play, play safe, with only a fake name, fake email account, fake address, everything fake.
