He tends to get confused as well. Half the time it is a kidney and the other half it is any body part (except the penis. He does not need a penis). I would say that he is just fishing for id cards, but to be honest I don't get the impression this lad is smart enough for that.

eta - I have contacted the National Kidney Foundation and let them know about this scam. These are folks trying to help, and I thought they should be aware of what is going on.

I am thinking less than grade 6 education. there is a moment in the thread "feel good photo" where it appears as if someone might have helped him write that email. In the rest he sounds like a bloody beggar

My lad wanted me to register with the The National Kidney Federation. That organization does exist. I contacted them through their official channels and gave them info. They received many emails from people who are getting these scams. Looks like many are not being fooled.
