I watched some videos about this topic and fell in love with the idea to try it out myself. My fist goal is small: Get a personal reply from a scammer.
But the only strange emails that I have, request me to click links. They never responded to my reply. Will continue trying.

Hey! Glad you could join us! From one newbie to another, my best advice would be to read up in Eater University before you get started. Make sure you are baiting safe (from a fake gmail account, say- Don't use anything connected to your real life.) Also, get a mentor. We're all pretty friendly here, and I'm sure some of the more seasoned members can offer some great tips!

I use a separate smart phone for my project and a brand new email address. It's all separated - now I just need the right scam emails to reply to.

If you need Lads, try the Surplus thread. Once you've got some baits going, your address is going to be on Lad lists and they'll be writing to you.

There they are sorted by type so you can easily pick what you are interested in Smile

Don't expect too much too fast. The first several emails will be scripted. Go to the Eater U forum or ask your mentor for details on "straight baiting." Its the easiest way to get started and learn the feel of this hobby.
