Newbie - Getting the lads to bite

Hi Forum - I'm new to this and it seemed like a bit of fun to to see how far I can push some of these characters. I picked up 7 of the scam emails from the forum and replied to them expressing interest. I have only received one reply and the lad is now in a dialogue with me, so I have high hopes of getting an amusing photo etc in the near future.

How long does it typically take to get replies and does asking for a photo on the first exchange put them off ie are they wise to this one and find it off putting if demands are made too early.

Any tips which anyone can provide to improve their perception of my first exchange interest would be welcome.

Hi and welcome!

My honest advice to you would be that its a trial and fail process. You need to develop a semi-convincing story that will A) knock them off their script and B) provide them incentive. Its also worth mentioning that lads are very very lazy so the ones you read about on the forum doing things like building pyramids are very very rare and the product of hard work and teamwork from baiters.

In the meantime keep reading, get a mentor and generally join in. Pretty much everyone will be happy to help you. Oh and most important remember to bait safely! Make sure what you are baiting from cannot be connected to your personal life in anyway.

First thing to do is read as much as you can - the stickies in the forum are the most useful

Also worth bearing in mind that getting a photo from a lad (a genuine one of the person and not a recycled one off the internet) isn't as easy as it looks.

My advice would be to aim for a bank account instead.

As for the bait style, play it with a straight bat for a few messages to get them invested in you and think you're a real victim. Be suspicious to begin with ("are you sure this email was meant for me?", "I'd love that kind of money, is it definitely real?"). Before long they will want paying. Just make sure you're ready with your reasons for wanting a bank account instead of Western Union

Report the account to a moderator and you've done more harm to that lad than a photo

The only thing I can add to the nice suggestions is that I have never seen a lad that I did not like. I always respond "I am interested, please tell me more." to every lad that sends me his initial script to my catcher account. To make things simpler for me I respond to his email address from what is called a bait box or email box set up further baiting. The subject line could be a simple "Yes".
