I pissed off a lad by pointing out a legitimate mistake he made in bank account info and he said "OTO NNE GI THERE YOU ARE A JOKER."
I know what a joker is, of course, but I tried looking up "oto nne gi" on the Igbo translator in the tips and tricks section and it didn't recognize it. Google translate says it means "Your mother"? Is that correct? Like where's the big insult? My mother what?? If that's all I got, I'm thoroughly disappointed. |

I've been called out by lads numerous times and often I have no idea what they are saying except for Joker. There are all sorts of dialects. I just keep with what I learned here and play dumb and usually I can reel them back in. See if you can do the same and reply that you don't understand. Did he accidentally push random buttons on the keyboard? etc etc HA. In my experience lads are slow to give up when they smell money. |
