I've been going back and forth with this dude for awhile, decided to make a thread for it. Apologies if this is the wrong place.

Starting to flesh out my character a little better, Bruce is a retired US Marines captain who types, always, in all capital letters. He is also extremely military and fond of making fun of other service branches besides the Marines. It seems he also knows some things about finances, or pretends to! Wink

He wrote back with more information, this time it includes a fake identification and a fake commendation letter from his commanding officer. Are these okay to post the images of?

2. My battalion is 1st Cavalry Division (CJTF-1) commanded by Major General Paul T. Calvert.; we took over from the 10th Mountain Division, headed Maj. Gen. Jeffrey L. Bannister in the summer of 2016, serving at the National Support Element Bagram Airfield Afghanistan.

Kind of setting myself up to avoid any phonetag or other nonsense he might want to engage in, also it's kind of hilarious to only have a boat and no address, makes for some pretty funny possibilities.

I relent and offer him a tidbit, also with a hilariously bad fake ID that is actually a photo of Chesty Puller, who is a pretty famous US Marine from the WW2, Korean War era, he's been dead for almost 50 years. (again, happy to post a copy of this image, not sure if it's allowed or not)

You can post the pictures the lad sent; be sure to mark them "fake used by scammer" or the like. It should be no more than about 600 pixels wide; if it's bigger, shrink it with Gimp or ImageMagick or the like.

When a lad asks for an ID card, send him a corrupt file. NEVER send any image that the lad could reuse on a real victim!
