[12:33 AM, 4/25/2018] +44 7452 032605: I know its a huge amount but i have spoken to the HOD for a price deduction so we are going to give you 4 free units of the EVGA GTX 1080Ti to compensate you for the inconvenience we must have caused you
[12:33 AM, 4/25/2018] +44 7452 032605: In order words, the total amount you will have to pay is $90,600 HKD
+44 7452 032605: Our company has decided to give you 4 FREE Units of the Graphics Card which means you would only have to pay for few Units/Pieces, which would amount to a total cost of $90,000 HK. But the problem now is that our management are having issues on trust because this is the first time we would be experiencing such a miserable mistake, and also this is quite a huge amount for us to risk on.
I feel stupid and miserable. I lost ~750 USD
I was trying to buy a Graphics Card model that aren't sell locally and found this "UK company" on a local forum. They speak pretty decent English and have a lot of documents of the company they impost. I spent days questioning their legitimacy and they are quite patient with me. I asked them why is the money transferring to Africa with MoneyGram and they say their accountant and warehouse is there. They asked to transfer to BENIN instead of Nigeria so I wasn't as sensitive if it would have instead been Nigeria. They have a UK number. They also send fake invoice. The Facebook page and the same phone number actually exists for three years, which leaded me deeper into the trap. I have access a couple of their accounts on the local forum since they used a public temp mail service. Please help causing them troubles and report them to facebook.
I have more proves if needed.[img][/img] |

The best thing that you can do is post their details on our sister site Scamwarners.com for other victims to be warned. Don't post the links to pastebin and imgur, they are useless as Google won't index them, copy and paste the actual text itself.

That constitutes hacking and is not something we condone here.
The best thing you can do is leave them alone and get on with your life. |

B8er is right!
Sorry to hear you've been scammed. I checked the site and it is indeed a scam.
The payment option is bank transfer via WU or MG
You won't see your money back unfortunately |

My advice for the future would be that if you see something for sale, be it from a company or an individual, and they ask for money via Western Union or MoneyGram, no matter HOW professional their website looks, walk away and don't look back. Legitimate businesses NEVER use these money transfer services. |

I did not hack them. They just used a temporal email service that list the registration email publicly on Google. I am more than happy to expose their info but was just worried for violation of any rules regarding that. I am asking help from this community to bait them and waste their time as there are a lot of other people trying to contact them from the few accounts I saw. I believe I was already being very cautious and tried my best to question their legitimacy and everything they say but they are well prepared and very organized. I guess I should have go away when I hear something related to Africa. |

Yes you did.
Hacking - gain unauthorized access to data in a system or computer.
How you gained access to their accounts is irrelevant.

Violation of what rules? Scamwarners exists to have details of scammers posted, so what is it you are worried about? You were more than happy to post their details here. |

Alright then. I apologize if that's something that I shouldn't do. I just don't want them to scam other people and tried to provide as much info as I could.
I was talking about pastebin and imgur. I asked for help on Reddit and they don't allow direct exposure of such info. I will post it on Scamwarners.com for sure. |

True. I should have been more cautious. This is my first time trying to do international online purchase and I have no experience how the payment works. |

Thank you for the moderator who helped posting on ScamWarners. It means a lot to me that someone cares, even for just a little bit. |

Welcome to Eater. You have been given good advice above. I would like to direct you to one of our "Stickies:"
***Victims of Scams***
While the entire post is relevant, please pay attention to this part (my emphasis):

419eater is a site dedicated to scam baiting. The moderators and members are not counselors, professional or otherwise. Although assistance and advice may be provided here, if you are a victim, we encourage you to visit our sister site https://www.scamwarners.com/ for further guidance.
Scamwarners.com is better suited to helping and advising in these situations. 419eater does not advocate "revenge baiting" or continued interactions with scammers by victims. We encourage victims to stop all communications with their scammers. Typically, the scammers will quickly get the message and move on as they cannot afford to waste time on people they think won't pay. If they continue to email, phone, or send sms messages, close or change your accounts. |
For that reason, we will not encourage baiting and posting of this scammer. It does nothing for the healing process; it only delays. Your best help is at ScamWarners and it seems you have found your way. Along with the discussion of hacking, it means this topic has run its course.
Locking.
