Is it possible scammers are members of 419eaters as well?

I am just thinking 419eaters shall be having a 2 tier systems in my opinion.

1) No Guests so the information remain "secret"
2) Standard Members paying 1 Pound/Euro/Dollar per month
3) Premium Members paying 2 Pound/Euro/Dollar per month

And to register we need to provide to go a screening process...

I know it may appear a bit heavy to manage but as a "club" we shall be having something similar.

Maybe he's had the crap baited out of him? I suggested to a lad last week that that maybe we could use something other than WU for my payment, and he responded immediately with a string of expletives and accused me of being a hacker. Hee hee, my first thought was I wonder which Eater baited this mugu?

It's great, because I figure if they're that touchy with real victims they're probably not going to be very successful.

And we do get scammers on Eater. You have to be very careful about what details of your baits you publish, and in which thread you publish them. Just today a really promising bait was derailed, almost certainly because the scammer googled some names and they led here.

Sure, a paywall probably would have prevented that. But it would also prevent new members from joining. Would you have paid a dollar to find out what Eater was all about? I doubt I would have.

The concept of baiting is totally alien to the vast majority of lads as they can't understand why anyone would do something and get nothing out of it.

They are more likely to think that Startbuck5 is some sort of hacker who is trying to steal the funds in the bank accounts than that he is collecting them to report to the authorities.

^^^ absolutely true, they have no clue. They rather think we are fellow lads try to steal from each other. And we should keep them thinking that way.

Just received this from a lad last week. Seems he also had some experience before with baiters reporting his bank accounts Laughing

Probably a free trial of 1 week or 10 days will make people understand whether they are into scambaiting or not.
1 or 2 USD/EUR/GBP per month is to ensure "our" information remain sealed and we can expand the website to new horizon with a little bit funding. I am really thinking to subscribe into the premium but I am currently jobless and my spouse is pissed-off...

The forum has been around for nearly 15 years without the need to force people to pay to have access, so there really is no need to messing with the a successful formula now.

@anakbabi and that's it too.... we wouldn't want to keep members like you from our site due to a paywall would we?

We do have a place where premium members can post baits away from prying eyes, and of course everyone is welcome to premium membership, but it's certainly not the only way to keep lads from finding your baits. Simply changing your character names, not posting lines from emails that the lad may google, etc. is usually enough to keep them away. And if they do find your bait, the hacker excuse often works.

For what it's worth, I don't think Starbuck5's lad found his bait, at least not based on that one email excerpt. It sounds like a lad who simply gave his bank account over and the didn't get payment. Starbuck5 has been cleaning up in terms of getting piggies. Some lad was bound to get pissed off. Very Happy

Ya the probability of a Lad being here is very low since they are just greedy and they don't understand our concept.

It's just that recently I found a so so so stupid Lad that I taught for a moment the Lads have a similar website like www.419er.com and he was learning his way...

You now have a great signature line from the FBI in the UK. When I received a similar threat I pleaded for forgiveness and asked for mercy because they were able to "PROOF" their case against me. I think I offered them $25,000 USD.
