Hey guys - Long time no chat! Life is too busy for me to be active all the time unfortunately. Sad

I'm hoping one or a few of you would be willing to sign up on a prayer request forum to snag some baits to keep these losers occupied. They're popping up like roaches, and I'm TERRIFIED that the wrong person is going to contact these people on their personal emails that they leave (there's no reason for anyone to leave a personal email address - the forum has a private message system) and get themselves into something they can't get out of.

There are a lot of vulnerable people on this site requesting prayer for financial freedom. Myself and one other person that I know of has been diligent in trying to get these accounts banned. They have all the trademarkings of a 419 scam: broken english, all caps or no caps, mentions of wealth or charity, some sob story, and promises of blessings (of course), and then a personal email address attached.

The website is <snipped - bware419ers>. You don't need to post anything at all on the site after you sign up. In fact, I don't think you even need to sign up to see the requests themselves. They stand out like a sore thumb.

Can't hurt to have a fresh source for lads. You may want to post the formats over on scamwarners. Also post a warning to your members about the scams along with a link to scamwarners where they can learn more.

Welcome back wannab8. I did remove the link in your post. I'm not even going to begin to delve into the religious aspect.

Members interested are welcome to PM you for the site. However, instead of recruiting from 419Eater, you should discuss with the owners of the site methods for recognizing and removing these types of posts. Eater regularly sees spammers here and institute procedures to get rid of them quickly.

I checked a few times and aside from spam, and beggars which are hard to distinguish from many of the legitimate postings, could not find any actual baitable lads. The biggest problem I could see is legitimate users posting their own emails and thus making themselves a target. Two best ways to limit this... use captcha, and put a block on any word with @ in it - effectively preventing the posting of email addresses.
