ETA: You took all that time to leet it throughout. Couldn't you have just changed it to Ms. Lisa Daddy? Wouldn't M1ldred McG1llicuddy have been just fine as Mildred? I would like to read this, but it just gives me headaches.

If you have not been welcomed yet, then let me be the first to welcome you KC. You gave the lad a pretty good one, two opening there. From what I can read between the leeting it looks like he mixed up some of his stock replies with custom content. I am not sure if that means your lad is a middle level player. If he is, that's pretty good because you will be able to keep him on the hook.

I would introduce a lawyer into the emails after you have dangled some serious cash. Lay out how much you spend on running your orphanages. A few tens of thousands should be nothing.

Since you are running an orphanage you contact a lawyer who charges a flat rate of $25,000.00 up front for every child. He has helped bring over lots of kids for many families over the years.

Keep going with the payments for cancer treatment with Millie but have the lawyer dangle $10,000.00 dollars as a contingency fee. $5,000.00 USD on completion of a few forms and the rest as soon as the flight reaches America.

The danger of sending the lad real forms is that he may put them into his scammer kit and use them on someone else. The forms would have to be something you can find here.

After that it is your bait. You could go rogue lawyer and work with the scammer to rip off Millie. You could meet him at one of the better hotels sort of close by. You could simply go straight bait and work for a trophy. Millie may need proof that the lad loves her. Good luck.

Straight baits are our "bread and butter." Most of the hilarity you read all began as a straight bait. As Connie mentioned, it's the "buy in" from the lad that allows you to move in other directions.

Connie...thanks again for your ideas, you spurred me to think about some ways I can take this. I think I'm going to introduce a couple of loving parents who are wanting to adopt the poor woman's son. Millie's adoption agency will waive the usual fees, of course, and forward the money onto the dying millionaire Smile

As for Millie, she'll cause the doctor grief with her bank, WU, and MG inadequacies. Then, on her yearly visit of her African orphanages, she'll ask for someone to pick up the money from her personally Smile

Do any of you have a good way to skip the bank transfer?

Be sure to report the bank account to a mod, if you haven't done so already. And put a piggy in your signature line. Wait a few days and then tell the lad that the bank transfer failed. Your bank didn't tell you why, just some problem with the target account. Ask if he has a different account you can use. See how many piggies you can get. Starting a pig farm is not only fun, but it hurts the lads when we get their bank accounts shut down. They spend a lot of time and resources to get those accounts. Losing one (or two or ten) really hurts them. So, bring on the bacon!

I told them what the money was for and they advised me not to transfer the money in whatever way. I couldn't believe that they could hear Mrs. D's poor story and call her a fraud and a crook! I was so mad. How could they be so heartless to one of God's precious creatures in her time of suffering?

I'm even more determined to help Mrs. D, no matter what it takes. I know she needs the money soon, poor thing! It breaks my heart to read her sad emails. Please, let me know what I can do to get the money to her - we can try the bank again, if you want, but I'm afraid they'll turn me down again.
