Jean contacted Prince Bright and arranged to buy 10 kg of gold with his friend Geoffrey. Bright's 2 reps would travel from Ghana with a 5 g sample, we'd go to the jeweler to have the gold sample assayed, and we'd then get the $110 000 USD out of the SH Cotonou safe to pay 50% down on the 10kg, to be delivered to us at a later date (not!). Bright sent his henchmen, William and George, but they forgot to take a hench with them. So they had to take taxis.

Jean arrived Wednesday afternoon in Abuja, then the next morning he and Geoffrey took a private plane to Cotonou and checked into the hotel, expecting the two lads to arrive soon. But they called and said there was trouble on the road. They didn't arrive in Cotonou till late at night, when the hotel had already locked up, so they booked into a local flophouse at their own expense.

The next morning, Jean and Geoffrey left for Allada, where the jeweler is. The lads called ...

"Jean" is a French name, and much of the conversation is in French, trying to tell the taxi driver where to go.

Nice safari, VX. Monsignor's SH modality is always a good way to get your lads to travel.

I'm baffled (but not really surprised) by their laziness. Geoffrey very reasonably explained why the lads needed to come to Allada, but they were too stubborn to do it, even when they were directly told they were losing out on $110 K because of it.

Just listened to the audio, great job! I must admit that I was a little disappointed that the lad was too lazy to stay on the phone long enough to hear what Mr. Randy thought about his mother....
