Greetings. Ive been away on a very long sojourn. Good to see some old names, and lots of new ones. Go go Eater !
So here's the rub.

Although not being active in 419 for some time, i have always kept the ethic of Eater close to my heart, and baited Lads where i found em.
Ive seen them in Dating Sites (yup, changed my marital status:) in my work (Yes, changed that too) and have to say that the dating guymen havnt impressed me much.

However, i got a very nasty shock today. I import from China, quite successfully (did MoneyTrap get scammed?)....No im afraid not. But a very good guy and fellow importer just got taken for £230.

It cant get said enough, follow the rules, no MG, WU etc, and always research your "supplier", as we all know, a genuine company will have nothing to hide, you just goto do your homework...and if its too good to be true...however i arrived too late. I had to break the news to him that hed lost his money...company registered in Belarius, not verified on Alibaba, shipping from...wait for it....Accra. Now i wont get into the Alibaba convo, you have to be careful, but if you are you can make decent money, so i wont have it disregarded completely.

Now, im not upto date with the current sophistication of the lads, but OMG. Of course, i had to submit the order to him for my own satisfaction, and i swear this guy is English, or its his first language. Furthermore hes on whattsapp, and is generating fake DHL dockets.

At first i thought my, seemingly pretty sharp friend was a fool, but having chatting with this lad on whattsapp, hes deadly, and if you knew no better, hed be hard to spot. Im profoundly worried at the amount of cash hes managed to generate for his scamming enterprise.

I just dont have the time to keep a convincing bait going these days, and hes not ready to give up any bank accounts or easy trophys, so guys and gals, knock yourselfs out, this guy is really really dangerous AND competent. And if your new to scambaiting, please leave thus to the Pros. I really dont want him to up sticks and move on because hes gotten scared. Hes fluent English, even calling me mate and such. Im no newbie, and was shocked. Maybe he needs double or triple teaming, but hes not your average lad.

Keep up the fine work, bait hard, and bait safe.

My bad, sorry about that. Im working on the evidence at the moment, but hes using whatsapp, and hes a slippery customer...i guess ill need to wait till i get something substantial, like when the goods dont turn up...any admin or so that can PM me how to go about evidence, im all ears Smile

But i hear you, im an old 419 user, its definitely a sophisticated scam. Any assistance or suggestions would be very welcome.

If you are convinced he is a scammer, why is he using Whatsapp for a business transaction?

Ok, so heres the modality.

The guy has advertised a certain games product on alibaba. The price was obviously to good to be true. My colleague went ahead and ordered £230 of goods, and paid with MG. On Alibaba, the business is listed as Belarus. The MG cheque was cashed in Accra. The Lad then contacted him, and notified him that he had arranged shipping for twice the amount (£460). He then produced a doctored dockett from DHL Accra. The Tracking numbers are blurred out, but at the top it states "to be shipped on release of £230. " The lad is now saying that DHL have held his goods until he, the supplier is paid the balance owed for the extra goods. So he's done the classic ruse of get paid once, get paid twice. My colleague has checked the MG ticket, and it has indeed be cashed in Ghana, the lad is now in constant contact, assuring him that unless the balance is paid, he cant release the goods. Hes also sent him a pic of his *package), which is covered in Chinese shipping tape and handling text.

For those that arnt familiar with Alibaba, once you have set up an account, you then share business cards including your telephone number. So the next logical step for the lad is to fire his number into whatsapp. And hey presto, an untraceable text and phone call platform, which is completely free.

And yes, an old 419 user, should have said baiter:) I used to do the gold lads, my best was the rebuilding of the Isle of Wight harbour Smile

Had a tragic ended ha. Cant remember if i posted the bait. I still have my old user name (MoneyTrap), so im assuming my old account was de cluttered.

Hope this cleans up any confusion, and please trust my instinct and experience, this guy is a %100 Lad, fluent english, and very effective. I have an ongoing modality with him at the moment on whatsapp. If anybody would like to step in as my "Administrator", then drop me a PM. Cheers. Money.

Ok, i have the entire whattsapp conversation, and a link to his listed. Ive just gave the lad a slap for being so inept at his product knowledge, so no money till i get lots of troubling info.

Hes still pestering my colleague for more money. He has reported it to the Fraud action group, and is trying to get the MG debit refunded (think it depends if the Lad took cash or cheque, i know where my money is), hopefully the bank will take pity on him, hes also been told to contact the police. Of course we hold out little hope of any prosecution, but i guess its procedure.

Anybody interested in looking through it, drop me a catch email and ill fire what i have over.
