Ok, typically a scammer will, at some point, introduce a second character. Usually, this character is the 'barrister', but he might have other job titles. Obviously, he is the same person as the original scammer, just using a new e-mail address.

So, here is my advice on how to screw with the barrister. Pretend the scammer sends you an e-mail address for "Barrister-John-Goodluck".

Write a letter to the barrister that you are ready/willing to work with him but "accidentally" address it to "Barrister-John-Badluck" or whatever you want. It will, naturally, bounce.

Now take the bounced e-mail, change the address back to the correct address then forward it to the scammer's original e-mail address. "Look, I tried to contact the lawyer like you said but the e-mail bounced. Is the address correct? Please check and let me know."

After several failed attempts at communication, the scammer may have to move on to another barrister. And you may then move on to other games.

Me, i don't like to deal with those barristers and pastors or whatever they make up. Most of the time i will get rude to them and start insulting them, and meanwhile complain to the first character that i do not understand their fancy lawyer talk and that they are rude and arrogant to me. Usually the lad first character tells me that he will deal with the barrister from now on, so the bait is less confusing to me, and i can make it more confusing to him.

I use the "bounced email" approach as well, it can be handy to force a switch in barrister or other "extra characters".... although they may well be played by the same scammer just with a new email address.

The same kind of thing also works if you want to delay your main scammer but still appear enthusiastic: send a series of messages, with increasing urgency, as if you haven't received any messages from him at all.

Insisting that the main character deals with all the barristers can be very effective, however in some cases it breaks the underlying setup for the scam (for example, when the "banker" is handling the main obstacle and the initial scammer character acts like he's on your side and equally inconvenienced). I actually prefer to deal with multiple scammer characters as there's more room for miscommunication or misunderstanding.

^^^ It is often the same ladd playing all the parts, so I like to tell the original character that the Barrister appears to be a total moron who doesn't have a clue what he is doing and acts like a little child and then ask the original character what they think.

They will either agree and I suggest that we sack the barrister or they will try and argue about how good he is then I start abusing the original character.

I love it when this happens. Usually it's pretty easy to spot when one scammer is playing multiple parts as they will mail you in very quick succession (and often with similar writing styles).
