OK guys I didn't know of this type of scam and thought this was going to be a legit meet up at a local Starbucks. However I became suspicious that this is a 419er after "she" asked me to click on a link to "verify a dating ID)
I cannot bait this person directly as she knows what I look like from a selfie. I didn't know this was a lad until I got her next email. Please make this lad pay for such an attempt. I'm trying to meet real people and this one has the audacity to attempt to scam me!
Here is her "verification" email. The broken english also gives her away at this point. She also accidentally sent two photos of another scam attempt of a child with a broken neck in the ER. Oops, stupid Lad.
"but i just want to know you are serious and i want to make sure first that im safe with you and your safe to meet, is that okay with you? so if you are serious and want to be safe for our meet up you need to get SECURITY DATING ID before we meet because i was attempted harass and get attacked before, that a very traumatic experience.. i hope you understand my concerns for being a girl, i just wanted to be safe and happy.

this security dating arrangement im talking about is for the site to know who i am with so whatever happen to me they know where i am and who i am with, thats the very essence of it. i hope you understand me, so i can give you my full trust when we meet, it takes me more compartable meeting someone online right? |

Hello Scam This. Welcome to 419Eater!
This looks like a spam or a phishing mail, rather than a 419 scam.
Also, please, when you post emails, kindly include the full mail text as well as mail headers.
Read all forum rules (they can be found in the stickies around the subforums). If you plan to do some baiting on your own, I recommend getting a mentor. It is free and awesome. |

Welcome here, but read what The Dane wrote. Also, do not link to an Adult Sex Community. That's a big no, no. |

^^^ I don't suppose you kept the link did you (for research purposes of course )
It's either phishing or malware, so if the OP (or anyone else) clicked on it, running a full AV and malware scan would be a good idea. |

I have the link but I did not click on it, if I accidentally included it in the Lad email then mods please delete if you have not already. I have a seperate email and really want to get this lad. How can I get a mentor to help me on this?
The lad is also attempting to scam another person because they accidentally sent out photos of a supposedly dying hospitalized child. This tells me the scammer is in contact with someone trying to play the typical 419 I'm in a crisis send money lol.
This would become my first bait but as many of you here have recommended get a mentor first. If I use a separate throw away email account I should be able to bait this one safely. That or one of you guys can have at this lad. |
