I run a dating site for adults with mental illness and am fighting off the lads on a daily basis. I do a pretty good job checking IP addresses...blocking certain countries...attuned to language and off-putting profile pics.

One got through recently but I now have an email address and phone # for the scammer. Looks like a domestic job 530# routes to California. Can I do something legally here? Can we mess with this person a bit? What's my best recourse here?

Check the number here www.whitepages.com and you'll very likely find that it is a VoIP number. The scammer could be anywhere in the world.

The best thing to do is post the details (with evidence that it is a scam) at our sister site www.scamwarners.com.
