Hi all,

after coming back to this after afew years i used the surplus letters looking for the good old military scams has im ex mil picked a couple of good ones and before long i had about 10 replies back asking for help.It goes to prove that the b*st**ds do talk to each other!

Could you expand "has im ex mil"? I don't understand that part.

I occasionally get scams in my character mailboxes from lads who must have gotten the address from other lads. But not ten at once.

vx: I think there was a slight typo in the OP, I read it as "as I'm ex-mil". Original poster is particularly interested in baiting military scammers due to their own military background.

I agree it's somewhat unusual to get a flood of replies from different scammers straight after an initial reply, but it's not unheard of. Sometimes it's actually the same scammer or group trying out different angles to see which one works best.

I saw an example of this recently with a brand new account that had only replied to one loan scammer and received three messages all from apparently different loan companies. No other spam or scam emails (yet) but it can be very informative to watch what happens in a brand new account.

Hi Boys,

yeah ex-mil was the one.I like the military people especially when they are in combat zones that people have pulled out off years ago.They are always good for a giggle.
i can just imagine them sat side by side dicussing these scams lol thinking they are one up on us.

I have a strange lad that replies to some of my emails from three different addresses - one reply from me, three from him, same exact wording

His addresses are similar: [email protected], [email protected], & [email protected] <feel free to help yourselves, I am sick of this guy>

I confronted him about this and he said that's just how he does business. Okay....

So, I created a fourth email for him, stephenadamsxxx@*, and used it to dolla chop and then taunt him. He never acknowledged the taunting, but he warned my main character to block the fraudster.

You could also use the Emkey mailer and really drive him nuts.
