As we enter into a new year together, the mods and admins would like to share our reflections on 2015.

Also in 2015, we had 3632 newly registered accounts here at Eater. Some of those were spammers or confused scammers, but many of those were new, contributing members. We're happy you're here!

Here are some other notable moments from 2015. This isn't an exhaustive list - we welcome you to post your own favorite moments, accomplishments or anything we have missed.

Eater isn't just a website, it's a community. Thank you all for being part of it!

Feb 03, 2015 - The moderating team privately bestowed a new title of Eater Knight upon Seamless, for his continual, humble and selfless service to Eater, ScamWarners, and thousands of victims. All that victim info we pass over to SWs? There's a good chance Seamless had a hand in helping them. Congratulations, Sir Seamless.
March 20, 2015 - Eater's longest serving moderator, Tsnerd, retired from his position on the mod team. Tsnerd joined the mod team on November 30, 2006, serving Eater for 8 1/2 years. Thank you, Snerd! BTW, Snerd's post count is frozen at 41. His actual postcount, according to the forum search function is 16,107.
April 1, 2015 - Eater's annual April Fool's Day prank was a special secret forum containing many secrets about the admins/mods and a few "undercover mods" that was suddenly accidentally open to all membership to see. Did we trick you?
April 5, 2015 - Nick Roper and KissOfDeath won the annual Eater Egg Hunt in a first-ever tie: https://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=263298
Beginning April 25, 2015, ScamWarners was under a prolonged and extensive DDOS attack, a sure sign that we've hit some scammers where it hurts.

September 1, 2015 - Our beloved SlightlyOutOfIt retired as forum admin. Slightly joined the admin/mod team as a moderator on October 17, 2009. Thank you for nearly six years, Slightly!

September 18, 2015 - 419Eater celebrated its 12th birthday!

Credit Card reporting summary:

During 2015, 614 reports of credit card information were made to our reporting system. Most of those reports included multiple cards. An estimate is that nearly 10,000 cards were reported by us this year.
Of those reports, 166 were made by one member, Calvin, with most containing many cards. Well done, Calvin!

Bank Account reporting summary:

On Aug 12, we reached a milestone of 15,000 bank accounts reported by 419eater members since we began our reporting system.

Jan 1, 2015 to Dec 31, 2015: The Final count of bank accounts reported in 2015 was 4,200.

Fake Site Summary:

Our Fake Sites forum hit a milestone on March 16, reaching 1000 pages of dead fake sites in the offline fake sites forum.

Already noted above, the database of fraudulent websites kept by our favorite ally in site killing, aa419.org, reached a milestone of 100,000 sites entered on April 30, 2015.

Our site killers added 162 pages of threads to the offline fake sites forum between January 1 and December 31, 2015. With 30 threads to an index page, and many threads having more than one domain on them, that is well over 4860 fake sites researched, reported and killed in our fake sites forum at Eater.
