Hello All,

I am new to the scambaiting world and came across this site on numerous scambaiting sites. Most of them described 419eater as the best, or one of the best, resources out there.

I'm sure there will be some interesting learning experiences while getting the hang of the process, but I figure I might as well say hello to the community and introduce myself and intentions.

I work professionally as an analyst in the field on anti-money laundering, counter terror finance, and general financial crime. Generally speaking, I feel like I do a lot of good work in my day job, but I am just sick and tired of seeing so many innocent victims get scammed out of hundreds, thousands, and in some cases, hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is my chance to say "fuck you" to these bastards and, at the very least, waste as much of their time and resources as possible.

So with that being said, I pulled a scam email from my personal spam folder, started an alias gmail account, and set the bait for my first attempt. I have also entered the gmail account into the mugu guestbook, so hopefully I will get some more chances lined up here in the near future.

Finally, I think it is a great service provided by 419eater and something that more people should get behind. This is a form of citizen activism that, potentially, can really disrupt the ability of fraudsters to reach potential victims, gather useful intel, and share that info with the public. So thanks to everyone who takes the time to do this and I look forward to contributing some material as soon as I land my first successful scambag.
