Do mugus come here to help them figure out whos baiting?

With the wealth of information about baiting on this forum. It would seem plausible that a mugu could just come here and get info easily. Ie search a phone number before he dials it etc.

Just wondering if there could be a "I'm not a mugu" option on the sign up? Very Happy

Occasionally a Lad will show up here. Most of them can't quite figure what we're all about. They either think we are a Society of Scammers or just a bunch of harmless Jokers. They really can't figure why anyone would do what we do if we're not getting paid to do it.

Welcome Boom.
We have had scammers come and visit us now and again, and for such reasons many baiters leave out crucial information like phone numbers, email addresses, or the actual names they are using when discussing ongoing baits.

As Big Al mentioned they don't tend to stick around here very long.

To add to what FH5 and Big Al have said, believe it or not, a lot of lads don't even bother using Google. I've sent out many fake addresses and only one lad took the time to research it and call me out on it. So, if a lad can't even bother going to Google or the USPS site, there is little to no chance they are going to research scambaiting.

^^Some lads are astute. A couple of years I had to shut down a bait when the lad Google'd my character's name and it led him to this forum. Sad

^^ and I had one lad do the googles and he found his email and our exchange on SW, and if it wasn't for the kindness of a mod here, he might have also found the bait published on Eater.

That was my first experience with keeping in character even when the lad had me dead to rights. Laughing

That reminds me to use different name in SW and in my emails. Embarassed

Annother time was when i gave a ton of lad email addresses to a lad. He had apparently googled them and found them all in SW. He did swallow all the baiter emails i gave him earlier and gave no complaints.

If a lad should happen upon Eater and find your baits. Just tell them this place is the actual shrine, and we are all sent here (kept in eternal limbo) to pay our penance and be punish along with our future generations with thunder and lightning for making them look foolish.

Sort of hell but with a Pimms trolley.
