How not to be scammed (advice from a lad)

I have been dealing with a lad claiming (amongst his many other characters) to be the new President of Nigeria and he was on the brink of receiving $17,500 (not). Of course when a totally unrelated scam email arrived from the Nigerian Vice President I thought it best to suspend payment and advise the Nigerian president of what I received. This throws lad in to a panic and an avalanche of emails arrived. Here is one of particular note. The lad has a habit of sending the same email with a multitude of subject headers.

SUBJECT: Disregard and ignore the impersonators using the name of my Vice President to know if he can make a catch ok.
SUBJECT: Your name was not addressed on the fraud mail as this is a fraud circular the impersonator sent for a catch to several millions of foreign email users ok.
SUBJECT: Read thoroughly, STOP & disregard the impersonator and go ahead to send the $17,750 dollars Affidavit fee to me now as I awaits the Transfer Slip ok.

EMAIL: Dear Mr. James D****r,

First of all this mail was not addressed to yhour name and why do you
ever reply such a fraud mail that was not addressed to your name? is
your name.. Attn: Beneficiary???? it seems that you are not aware
that we have some criminals that are damaging the image of Nigeria
before the international Community and when the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC) get these criminals they are always sent to
jail as I advise you to ignore and disregard the criminal using the
name of my Vice President to confuse and cheat you ok.

Secondly, there is no way my Vice President can contact any
beneficiary without my permission aod order and do you know what these
criminals does, they search for foreign e-mail addresses and contacts
in the internet and after collating such foreign e-mails they will
address it to their target victims as...Attn: Beneficiary.... to
several millions of foreign e-mail users only for a catch and because
the impersonator did not know the names of the several millions of
foreign e-mail users that was why he addressed to... Attn:
Beneficiary.... which is a fraud circular looking for whom to deceive
and cheat ok.

Lastly and to avoid any thing that can make you loose your $35.5
million dollars, ignore the fake Vice President and impersonator
henceforth and if you continue to communicate this idiot, tomorrow he
can use the name of fake FBI or fake U.N Secretary General Ban Ki Moon
or even President Barack Obama to frighten you and if you fall prey he
will begin to send fake documents to deceive and cheat you ok. So my
advise to you is to disregard and ignore this impersonator and note
that he search for foreign e-mail users and send fraud circulars to
try his luck if he can catch a prey and begin to such such preys as I
advise you to go ahead and send the $17,750 dollars Affidavit fee to
the account I have resent to you earlier while awaiting the Transfer
Slip and do not PANIC at all ok.

There are actually some wise words in there for anyone receiving scam emails!

I'm now dealing with 5 characters from the same lad

a) Nigerian President
b) Gordon Emefiele - Head of CBN
c) Barrister Duru - a dodgy lawyer
d) Mr Lamourde - EFCC
e) The 'real' Nigerian Vice President

They are all now repeatedly sending emails warning me of the fake Vice President. Unfortunately the fake Vice President (now me) is sending insulting emails back to the lad telling him to back off. Lad is really in panic mode at the moment and threatening to have me arrested by the 'Dockyard Police' (I assume he means Scotland Yard but why correct him?).

Have to get back to my inbox now to see how many more dozens of emails he has sent.
