I really don't think this is a sandtimer because between episodes, I only get an email once a month.

In March of 2013, I picked up a Dakar Darling on a dating site-poor Doris D3ng, stuck in a refugee camp, complete with Rev. Father and Barrister. After a month or two and a piggy or so, the Barrister dropped me after I told him:

A broken leg and other misfortunes delayed matters still further and I only occasionally got an email from the Rev.

Fast forward to March of 2014 and the lovely Doris sends this:

I'm happy to inform you about my success in getting the fund transferred under the cooperation of a new partner from Paraguay. Presently I am in Paraguay for investment projects with my own share of the total sum.

Of course she had saved $300,000 USD for my previous help. The Rev. wanted to send the check to me, but DHL required a prepaid delivery fee. Rinse and repeat.

Back to once a month "Are you sending the fee?" although in august of 2014, the Rev was quite frustrated because he had to pay a $300 storage fee and wanted to be reimbursed. Nope. My character doesn't do WU. Back to the once a month reminders.

Last night , the lovely Doris appears to have passed on to a better place than Paraguay:

From the Rev.:

it is a thing of sorrow and pain to inform to you this morning that miss Deng passed away earlier this morning after experience a slit illness that no one believe it could take her life,Now am confuse don't know what to do,beside i can not access her fund due to my present status as a reverend father,so i am contacting you if you can be able to help out by writing to her lawyer to see how possible her money can be release to you so that we can give her a benefiting burial,please my dear reply me as soon as possible,May the peace of the lord be with you.

This has got to be the most tenacious lad in Dakar. Two years, innumerable excuses, piggies, failed WU transfers and I'm still on his dance card....

Sir, you did not include the lawyer's email address. I would be most happy to communicate with him. I hope it is not the first unprofessional and rude individual Doris was referred too two years ago.

I just realized looking back I had never run a dollah chop on this one-hmmm-maybe it's time?

I had asked you to send me copy of Doris' obituary or funeral card. In the US, the card is a picture of the deceased and a prayer. Could you please send me this?
