A lad eager to make easy money off online scam is told that applying black magic, will make it even easier. He then buys a piece of cloth which is cursed with voodoo and sends to the unsuspecting victim. Victim goes round in that cloth, showing off the gift he received from his "sexy girlfriend" for valentine's. Soon the girlfriend tells him a dumb lie and he is shelling out money like no man's business... Cuz he loves her unconditionally. Even though he hasn't seen her once. Even if she collects air-fare ten times in 2 months, and tells him dumb excuses at the last minute. Or is there something else at work?
Is he possessed? Is that ankara shirt she tells him to wear while they chat online some kind of "receiver?" Or is it plain ol' psychology?
I personally believe black magic may have a scientific explanation. Why? Because the world and everything in it is connected. (Think "circle of life") Mufasa probably got it right already. But I digress.
Alexander Graham Bell developed the telephone at a time nobody really understood what signals were. I believe even voodoo has "signals" it works with. Science may not have gotten there yet(It's still seeking cure for cancer-- and Ebola, hopefully) but someday, we may have logical explanations for black magic.
I admit there are fake witch-doctors, but the greed these ones exhibit mark them out a mile away. But there are also the real ones who just want you to bring a dead baby's head and do some evil, straight out of a horror movie with it.
The curses some people say the lads chant in anger were not the real thing. They were random swear words, believe me. I've even been around them sometimes when they 'curse' a victim. Usually, they joke about it and move on to the next victim. No Yahoo plus boy would waste it (if he truly had it) on some Maga that wasted his time. Voodoo out here can be costly sometimes. One more thing, they are also getting wise and always go in for the kill instantly to avoid time-wasters. Only the poor desperate ones stay long with a scam baiter(And these ones don't have the means to a good witch-doctor. They probably even don't have a computer at home) believe me, those curses are no different to an American or British dude 'cursing' you out for making his life more miserable.
Anyways, like I've said, I'm open about this scam+voodoo thing. I'm trying to study the pattern and I've seen some pretty mysterious things come out of it that made me do a round-about-turn.
So, here's my verdict. I would never accept a gift from someone I met online. Either I am a superstitious bastard or not. Hell, he could even turn out to be some Psycho-serial killer. And take that for psychology... |

Why'd you say that?
And hopefully this won't get locked. I feel it's such an extensive topic. |

We don't discuss religion. We don't bait spellcasters. Scammers from around the world have different beliefs.

I'm not sure where to even start with that one...but I will give one recent example.

This one will probably be locked again because as JC says religion is being discussed.

It is extensive, but it's not a good topic to discuss here, because it involves personal belief. We have rules prohibiting discussion about religion because it can be divisive and lead to discord on the forum.
The same is true for politics.
If you've not already done so, please do read our forum rules and other sticky topics.
Yes, Father Moleman, you used that properly. |
