Hi all!
I received a BS email from someone who had taken over a friend's email. It's the usual lines: I'm traveling in Manilla, wallet stolen, send money, etc. I pretended to care and threw in a bit about my friend receiving payment from a trust he had settled in the amount of $350,000ish (all BS, of course) and the lad responded and gave my his bank info.
Not sure where to go from here and thought someone on the forum might want to take it over for me since I am a novice? Does anyone want this? |

The best thing to do is drop it - baiting it puts your friend at risk as the scammer has access to everything that was in the email account that he took over, which could include identifying information about not just him, but his family as well. |
