Not sure if we have one of these yet, but I thought it would be a cool thread to have people post pictures of their tattoos or admire others. I will start off with mine. If this isn't okay, let me know! If you have any questions, just ask!

Of course I'm not done yet, my canvas is hardly full! But this is what I have. Also forgot to upload my Mom tattoo (mom inside heart) and my upper thigh tattoo (bender the robot) and my back shoulder tattoo (NY Jets logo)

@John Basil- at first I thought this to be about lads getting tattoos Very Happy

I find prison tattoos very interesting especially given some of the meaning they have behind them. You can literally tell what the person is about from some of it.

I would never get one of these but if I was tempted to I would get stars on the knees for bows to no man and epaulettes on the shoulders. However if I ever went back to Russia or other parts of Eastern Europe and it was discovered I'd be beaten senseless so no way. Laughing

I am working on a few now but it will be a while before I go for it. Maybe one day without a necro I will post pictures... maybe. One of them does say "DNR @ NO CODE / O-POS" though. That may be all you get. Tattoos can be a good form of identification though so I probably won't. </teasing>

ETA: I would also get the Arabic "كافر" as a tramp stamp but I don't feel like getting stoned to death, beheaded, or thrown off a building should I ever be in the Middle East again. Maybe I will just put it on my knuckles...... oh wait I have that personal rule about markings being hidden and not inciting mob violence. Laughing

I'd always assumed there was a limit to the sharpness of a tat on account of most tats I've seen have been fairly blurred and washed out, that being one of the reasons that I've never wanted to get one, possibly the main reason.

If I could have a vivid one like those above, then I'd change my mind about the whole process. Maybe. But then I'd need to know how long they stay sharp, and what remediation would be necessary to keep them so.

As an aside, extraordinary, I had no idea there might be a hidden language in the ink - interesting thread.
