Baiter email accounts deleted?

Has anyone ever had their baiter email accounts deleted? I am just curious if maybe when the lad finds out he has been had he reports the email account to gmail. Just curious because one of my accounts disappeared out of the blue, and it just happens to be an account in which one lad in particular got pretty mad at me... Twisted Evil

It happens. Then again, I have 40+ accts, and I never had one closed.

I guess you can either try to mail Gmail and tell them what you were using the acct. for, or sit back and count the losses. Wink

I had accounts deleted but never from gmail. Were you using a strong password? It sounds to me like a lot of the "disappearing gmail" accounts have been compromised and then used for spamming.

There is an account recovery link HERE but it sounds like a bit of work to get it back (see this blog post for example) - mainly you need to know a lot of information that you might not have if you casually set up a baiting account with fake details.

It is no big deal, or big loss... I have quite a few more all ready to go. I was just curious if it has happened before.

Hushmail suspended my account once, until I complained that I was fighting the scammers. I binned them off though and stick with gmail, never had an issue with them

I don't want to seem like I am attacking a victim here but did you inform the lad that he had been baited? Scammers are concerned about obtaining victims and robbing them. They have very little motivation to burn a baiter's box even if they have suffered for years on the hook, traveled thousands of miles, had hundreds of bank accounts lost and received public ridicule and humiliation among their peers unless they have been told.

A very important modality is to keep your catcher accounts separate from your baiting accounts. For the first few years I baited out of my catchers and may have been caught by one lotto scammer. During the scripted portion of the bait I sent him lots of magabyte TIFFs of cheesecake photos of an adult video performer. After about 6 months of failed Moneygram transfers my victim decided to go to Spain to pick up her winnings in person. She was carrying $25,000.00 USD along with two Rolex watches, a nice cellphone and her laptop when she disappeared. The scammer was supposed to be at the airport waiting for her but he says he got stuck in traffic. The scammer was contacted first by her girlfriend then her pastor and ultimately her father who offered $50,000.00 USD for assistance. The girlfriend found the emails and threatened to go to the FIB and Interpole. It was fun to watch the scammer squirm and insist that he knew nothing about the abduction yet was willing to help for cash. The point is that about two years later I replied "Yes, I am interested, please tell me more." from the victim's box to a new email address that the scammer was throwing his lotto scripts from. He replied "Hunny, you are alive."

I've had a Mail.com (they suck, don't use them) and a Fastmail box closed due to "spamming." I have learned to strip the scripted content sent by scammers from any box and not BCC bomb ASEM messages using dodgy email lists.

You may want to drop a note to Gmail and tell them about your activities. It might help you in the future.

That's the first thing that caught my eye. Never burn baits or educate the lad. You would be surprised how many will come back to your account. It is possible, and likely, they do so using a different email account. Also, why let them know anything, it just makes them better at what they do.

While I have never lost an email account, I have lost baiting Facebook accounts.

I have many scammers on the line after more than 5 years and countless failed attempts to get the cash. I don't claim sand timers simply because they write to me only a few times a year and ask how the church is doing, if Stewart has been arrested or if that evil Thirston Howe, III has died and given up his seat on the Evangelism Committee. I dangle cash by telling them that the Peter South foundation is now sponsoring memberships at $50,000.00 a pop. They just love to hear that.

I should have stated that. I never let them know I am baiting them... I should have worded that differently... I guess this lad must have seen the MTCN security matrix before because as soon as I sent it to him he replied "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH MUGU." and stopped communicating with me.
