I'm new to this and having set up a new hotmail account , what's the best way to attract scammers? Question

One very easy way is to start mailing them. Have a look in the Surplus Lads forum and find one you like the look of, then mail him with "is this offer really for me" or some such. They really don't keep track of who they have mailed so don't worry about being caught out.

Within a short space of time, even if you don't end up corresponding with the original lad your addess will have been bought and sold, and the spams will keep coming in.

Also, be sure to read the stickies for tips and very useful guidelines--one of the most important is to bait safely.

Be sure that you DO NOT give any real-life information to the lads. Only use an untraceable (read that gmail) email account with utterly ficticious information for your baiting.

DO NOT send scammers pictures or any form of ID. No matter how silly you might think something you send a scammer is, remeber that if it fools him into thinking it is real, then if he uses on a potential real victim it could fool the victim as well.

DO get a mentor if you're inclined

From noob to another, let me tell you that patience can be its own reward, since you really don't have to "do" anything. Just having a free email account will attract lads like flies to a dead possum. But if you're in a hurry, just put your new email addy into a few of the many "get rich quick" offers out there - just be sure not to give any of them any money - and your wait time will be greatly reduced.
