The opening spam:

This is the second times i am sending you this email.

Reply for this final notice, reply if you still alive I sent you an email about the scammer who took your fund for the past according to the file here, but I did not hear from you and i want to email you my self to avoid any story for my government worker this time, and today now I receive mail from Mrs. Rose Morgan, and she said that you as the real owner of the money is dead, please are you dead or alive, then you are to reply soon before any legal action will take place by releasing your fund to Mrs. Rose Morgan, as she started that you signed an agreement latter with her, is this true?

Well if this not true that you sign an agreement latter with her, then I want you to try your best to send fee required to me or my secretary Mrs. Shallot Martin; as soon as you can to avoid this woman claiming your fund OK, because the federal cancel department is about to cancel this payment in your name, as the result of your delay and abandoning your funds and it is unclaimed.

And after I received the email from (Mrs. Rose Morgan) then I now pas instruction to my Secretary (Mrs. Shallot Martin) not to release your fund to any Mrs. Rose Morgan or anybody else accept you, she said okay that she will do as I have said, but she told me that she received the same mail from (Mrs. Rose Morgan) and I told her and Attorney not to release the fund to anybody if not you, so I want you to do your best and send the fee soonest thank you and hope to hear from you soon, but if you did not trust my secretary then send the fee to me direct with bellow information so that I will help them take care of your fund.

So my dear as for those crook and criminals scammers that was got arrest for fraud and they will be jail if they have no legal prove about your past lost fund, because I have asked them about you and your money, but they said that they did not know you and they did not collect any money from you, and I and Police told them that they will be jail if they refuse to say the truth, and bellow is their picture in the police custody.

I will be waiting to hear from you with the required Western Union payment information to enable you receive your Contract Scam Victim Payment the sum of FOUR MILLION $7M U.S.D United State dollars, which we the Federal government of Benin have agreed to remit in your name immediately, I want you to follow the instruction on this mail to receive your Contract Scam Victim Payment of FOUR MILLION $7M

After my "was this for me?" response, a totally unrelated script:

GOOD (day?, morning? guess he skipped a word) FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENCY

AS YOU MAY KNOW THE THREAT WE HAVE BEEN UNDERGOING IN OUR COUNTRY
FOR MANY YEARS.SOME OF THESE SCAMMERS HAS BEEN ARRESTED AND DETAINED.
I HAVE GIVING THEIR JURISDICTION TO SEE THAT THEY ARE PROSECUTED ACCORDINGLY.

MY COUNTRY WILL BE CLEANSED OF THESE HOODLUMS. REAPING INNOCENT CITIZENS
OF THERE HARD EARNED MONEY, THEREBY INFLICTING MY COUNTRY WITH SO MUCH
HATRED FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD.

IF YOU ARE MARGIE EADES:Car1ing Christie (Uh...what?)

This is awesome. I think the third script hits every page of the "Lad 101 Handbook": religion, time, silence, trust, and act fast. Then, a month and a half into 2015, he talks about celebarting [sic] the new year.

And, on top of that, he's asking for 49 bucks. Genius.

I,ve got around 20 such POS scams in my catcher account due to be put on scam warners , the lads make me laugh sometimes and i cant believe people get sucked in i really cant .

Having said that a couple near me got done over many years ago , why they fell for it i don't know but they did .

Cammy gets maybe a dozen Benin Lads on an average day, and virtually all of them are quick payout scripts - totally boring.

I love the "are you dead or alive" scripts. One of these days, I'm going to reply that I am dead and just came back to life, just to see if they get it. This lad actually looks like he might be dumb enough to fall for a "zombie bait". Talk about the Walking Dumb.

I have to say it - anybody who sends money to these 'pay me immediately on the basis of this s**t' emails has to be incredibly gullible. I suppose it must work else the Benin lads wouln't send them but surely their success rate must be incredibly low. Like Yastreb wrote they tend to be really boring baits and the lads incredibly lazy (even more than usual).. in general they don't even bother complaining about junk MTCNs.

I guess though that we should encourage these incoherent scam mails on the basis they are too stupid for most people to be taken in.

The thing is, Pete, their success rate doesn't have to be high with this kind of scam. All they need is a one-page introductory script and a list of victims. Then they send out their email and wait for the payments to come in.

If they have a spam list of 1000 victims and even 1% respond, they've just made 500 bucks with an hour or two's worth of work. Not a bad return really.

Wow, this guy certainly knows what he's doing. If you've got a spare $49, I'd say its a safe bet you could start spending your FOUR MILLION $7M straight away...
