Hi. I have been baiting informally for a few months now and I decided that maybe it wasn't so safe. So I have come here to try and get some tips to keep myself safe and learn to do a better job at it. I have baited a couple of romance scammers, talked to them for months, I kind of enjoyed some of their stories, had some laughs. I was also scammed myself which makes me want to keep these people away from other innocent people more. |

Hi Gotcha9,
We usually advise people who have been a victim of scams take a walk over to our sister site SW, who specializes in victims for a while. Some times baiting isn't really good for a victim. You can't get your money back and the scammer that did that to you has your personal information. This isn't safe. Maybe you need ome time and distance before you jump in?
As Tsnerd advises, start with the stickies. I hate what happened to you-scammers take so much more than money. |

Welcome aboard.
As said above, make sure that you're ready to bait the love lads after being scammed yourself.
I understand your feelings, having been scammed myself, so as long as you can take this for what it is, ie not revenge, then it is great fun messing with their minds.
