What kind of scam is this? Illuminati from Lagos...?

I was on Facebook, and noticed someone posting with the following message:

This message was posted by a person who has styled himself the "Chief Executive Officer" of the Illuminati. Rolling Eyes

Of course, he's from Lagos, Nigeria. Twisted Evil

I'm going to report the Facebook account as a fake, but I wondered if anyone had seen a scam like this before. (And feel free to send an e-mail to this guy if you're looking for a new toy to play with...)

I got an email like that in my catcher account and tried to bait but it didn't go far. Replies were just one-liners that told me I needed to buy 2 lion heads, 2 fish and 2 eagle heads. The poor lad just kept sending one-line emails telling me I can't be illuminati until I pay for the heads (in all caps mind you). None of the emails had any kind of payment info, just screaming in all caps to send money now. I kept asking him for payment information and asked him if he was sure he knows what he's doing and he just kept sending the same email over and over again. After about 10 emails I gave up.

I've had this one a few times before. It might be difficult to imagine that it actually works--and likely it is not a big money winner. On the face of it, it seems so stupid that one is tempted to think it's a result of some baiter de-educating lads; nevertheless, as part of a huge mass mailing it might find one or two real victims in a hundred thousand.

This scam specifically targets people who suffer from cognative disorders--and as such is among the most dispicable--rating in my mind equal to romance scammers. The idea is that one amoung thousands of recipients might have a schitziod disorder (delusional or parnoid or both). The scammer figures that if you are living enough of a fantasy in life to respond seriously to the sales pitch, then you are also a good candidate to actually pay. Some victims might even be satisfied with the service they get, given that Illuminati power might be imagined by anyone who is delusional.

Have fun with him. He is highly unlikely to go for anything but straight baiting. Delkay payments for plausable reasons. Get a fake lad in to dollar chop. Have fun jerking him around. He deserves all the pain you give him.

There have been a couple of massbaits on these lads-they're entertaining. Be sure and ask lots of questions about how and why you can become part of the Illuminati-especially when your lad is demanding payment.

Go for it, I got 2 piggies and several trips to WU until he got sick of me... took ages though, don't think the one I dealt with was that bright.
