Why do they keep coming back?

So, periodically, we have to ban somebody.

No, not a spammer - that is just an everyday thing, and to be expected.

I'm talking about banned people who just keep coming back under other names.

I would think that were I to be banned from a forum, I would take the hint that I'm not really welcome there....I'm pretty sure all of our (relatively) sane members would also take that hint.

But some don't.

Eater has had a long history of banned people returning, over and over again, and then trying to assimilate.

Currently, ours is the member formerly known at thrasher4, then techfan38 and now soon to be banned newsguy17.

Is there something in Eater's water that just makes people keep coming back? Subliminal messages to banned people's toasters? Pheromones? Alien UFO technology? Shocked

Thoughts?

Not one to be long winded,suffice to say if they are stupid enuff to get banned then they are stupid enuff to rejoin under a different name.

And stupid enough not to actually change their stupid selves. That's what really gives them away. It's nothing you can actually track with a computer, it's just the sheer dickishness of them that shines like a greasy old lantern.

Oh, how true......... It's always fascinating to see how people will just keep coming back, getting banned, signing up again, getting banned -- over and over and over. And still not manage to get a clue.

I can't report any of the information he sends - I just don't know where it came from....I mean, for all I know, he is pretending to be a FedEx fraud investigator and making crazy extrapolations based on some delusional formula that only makes sense in his head.

I don't know TS. If I was not welcome at Eater any longer (don't get any ideas), I would not come around. Bad form and impolite.

It works both ways too. If I want to ban Eater...I can. Why go visit a place that you disagree with and that doesn't want you there?

That was going to be my answer. It's the Admins/Moderators that make it so. I used to moderate a board and I know there is A LOT more going on behind the scenes that we're unaware of, I know behind the scenes it's not all happy flower kitty land, but for all the work you do us mere members it appears so.
