I have a bait going with a lad using the unclaimed fund modality. I have so far got 4 bank accounts from this lad and have been going for a couple of weeks.

I decided to dolla chop him yesterday and did so by impersonating thier "bank" as an associate of theirs with my DC toon. I then forwarded the thread to them that indicated I payed the fund via WU to this guy.

Got two emails back from them which were amusing. They had a "security meeting" and decided that their bank was compromised and introduced a whole new "bank" in London.

What is surprising is they also took some vengence out on my DC email. I logged in to it and there were 8k spam messages in there. Seems they took a considerable amount of time setting my DC email up as a reply to and also on a bunch of yahoo groups and what not.

Is this a pretty standard reaction?

It actually seems like they are redirecting all of the emails from the old scam to me and have moved to the "new bank" modality.

Getting spammed or "joe jobbed" isn't unknown. It's a pain, but just reset your filters. You may want to put a note in your "drafts" file if you're using gmail that you are a scam baiter. It seems to help if they get pissy about closing your account.
