This is a fantastic article on the government, people, scams and more that come out of this country. So wonderfully written, with a lot of what is discussed here succinctly put into one article.

Hello, by the way. After I moved seven years ago, I have only come back here occasionally... Frankly, life has been so jam-packed that I haven't had time to get back.

So today, I was going through some training and this article came up, and it brought back fond memories of 419Eater and all the wonderful and not-so-wonderful things y'all do to your pets.

I'm posting this article for two reasons: First, I think you'll enjoy the read. Second, though, has to do with something I faced when I was baiting: People would ask why I did it, and in point 18, the second to last paragraph puts it perfectly... Not to mention the people who get hurt.

Again, probably no new information to you guys here... I just like the way it's packaged... and I searched the forums and did not find this article. Apologies if this has already been posted and I just missed it.

I miss baiting and I miss you all. If life settles down a bit, I will return to baiting. I really love it, I love the creativity even in the straight baits, and frankly I am so much more jaded than I was seven years ago. I guess life does that, huh? I figure it's better for what you do.

And thanks for the link. Utterly fascinating reading. The writer gives a lot of useful information in a very chatty style. His take on scammers was spot-on. Many are rich but most of their fellow countrymen despise them. It reinforces what we are constantly trying to get people to understand: most Nigerians are honest people.

But with corruption a pervasive and constant part of everyone's daily existence it must really take a psychological toll.
