My first bait ended in supreme frustration for the lad and nothing for me. It was a small money scam and I could not get them off the WU/MG mindset. They were not amused with my WU receipt with sales slip covering the number. Went down hill quickly from there.

However, my second bait attempt resulted in a bank account very quickly. It was the Nigerian Bank owes me 10 mil and I had to pay 1200.00. After fewer than a dozen emails when I had all the documents to them they needed, I simply ignored the WU information they were giving me and I said "Ok great send me the bank info and I will do a bank to bank transfer".

Bank account came in the very next email with no balking.

I am now in uncharted territory and it will be interesting to see where this goes.

If you have already sent the account information to a Mod, just add your pig to your signature.

Yes I have sent the info to a mod.

Having a bit of trouble with the sig. I have added the following to my sig but it is not showing up. It shows up in preview but not on the actual post. Is this correct format? using the img tags in brackets:

Ah gotcha. I looked at the sig sticky but didn't browse far enough down the thread to see the codes. I simply assumed people were using image tags.

Congratulations on your first pork Ewan.

As to what to do next - international transfers can take at least 3 days, so you can make the lad sweat for a few days while the transfer goes through the system - only for it to mysteriously fail and be returned to your account.

Also, check you've got sufficient info to actually make a transfer - if you're in Europe for example and the account is in the States then the Acct. No./Routing No. combination that the lad probably gave you is no use as you will need a SWIFT code, so you can delay things by going to the bank only to be told that they need the code.

Also, the lad will ask for the transfer slip as proof that payment was made - I like to deride them by telling them it is no longer the 1980s and everything is paperless, but then when they keep on about it, I tell them that I'm sure that if I print off all their emails and take them to the bank then they will see why I need a slip - lads don't like the idea of bank staff seeing the details of their scam, so usually shut up about the slip.

B8er's post is chock full of good ideas to prolong the lads pain and fill your sty. Start with those and then starting finding/developing your own. There's plenty of pork out there to be had!!
