Um, OK. What do you want us to do with this? In case you are wondering, the answer is most likely no: the scammer is not in Washington DC. He is somewhere else and in order to meet you he needs you to pay for his clearance fees, hamster's vaccination, McDonald's Happy Meal and what have you. Then he might actually send someone to meet you if he is connected enough to have friends in the general vicinity of Washington DC. But that's unlikely to happen since you are not going to pay him.

You could send him a fake WU payment slip with the MTCN covered with a Post-it or 'PAID' stamp, etc. That would frustrate him, particularly if you stated in your accompanying email, "I am now away for 2 weeks" (and go silent).

Or perhaps you could ask your American friend to help him out personally at the airport since he offers the alternative. I'd be curious to see what his excuse for that not working after all would be.

The DC area has three international airports. I doubt the lad knows that. You assume the lad is at Dulles and send your friend out there. Lad is nowhere to be found. You are indignant and demand he tell you which airport he is at.
