I need some advice please

I've had a lad on the hook for a few weeks now. He's running the trunks in Iraq scam. I've gotten a couple of cheesy photoshopped trophy pics, and I now have the guy's bank info. My problem is that I didn't use a protected email account, I used my old aol account (which is now my catcher account). My gut is telling me to end the game by reporting the bank info, which is the USA btw) and then telling him he gave me fake info and I can't make the deposit, and leave it at that. I'll know for the future not to use an identifiable account

Any advice would be appreciated

You have given yourself the best advice Rustin. Report the bank information to any of the Moderators here (the folks with green names) and drop him.

Make a new gmail account and re-bait him with a new character if you like.

Yes, if the lad can identify you, drop him. It's always best to bait safe and keep anything that ties to your real identity secret.

On the bank account, have you read the stickies? We have a bank contact who can often get the accounts closed very quickly.

Also you can post scam emails you receive in Surplus for others to bait, and in Scamwarners so that other possible victims can recognize them as scam.

Don't even reply. Just drop him. As for the bank account, there is no need to post it in a forum. Simply send an email to any Mod (their name is in green). They will take care of it.

I agree with all of the above. Cease all contact. No need to send a reply even...they'll probably assume that you "figured them out" and move on.
