I started out baiting a random lad during my first week of baiting. It followed the usual format: lad convinces me that deal is 100% risky free, has me email... some associate or another and the scam changes into him giving me a visa card he can transfer the funds with. He, of course, wanted me to transfer through Moneygram. I waste his time a lot: not knowing what MG or WU is, needing the euro amount in yen, giving him an address written entirely in Chinese characters. He advises me to go to my bank and have my bank do a WU transfer for me.

Lad:

I went to bank today and asked about sending money and Western Union like you said but there was problem... When I asked bank how to use the Western Union or Money gram and gave them the information, they warned me about scam because money was going to West Africa.... They said Western Union is unsafe and someone might be stealing money....

It is very worrisome and I am distress.

Lad:

But if you can not send the money then find another alternative on how to receive your visa card

At this point I go quiet on him. I get the following two emails from him:

you are about losing this visa card that is why i'm writing you

Me:

This money gram thing is not safe... I found better offer for visa card and am pay through my bank

Lad:

What did you mean by MONEYGRAM is not safe? you went there and they told you about scam, yes, there is scam all over now, or did you mean that i am not real? they warned you of scam did not mean that you should not send money

Yes they told me about scam
But I got new contact for visa card in my mail who deals with wire transfer
That is safe so I know that is not scam
So I will get visa from him

The lad panics.

Yes they are from Nigeria and offered to sent visa card and I didn't have to use unsafe way to send money

Today I woke up to a new email with the subject “You will regret it”

Great baiting Kuromaku!!

Referencing a second lad is always good for some lad angst. They know that if they reached you via email that some other lad has done the same. You can basically get them arguing about some other lad who doesn't even exist. You know you're really got them going when they start telling you the other lad is just out to scam you...unlike them of course.

Often when they reference their attorney I suggest that another one has already contacted me via email and assured me that he can help me collect the funds. You can even try sending them each other's email addresses to have them work out between themselves.

Or, just send them the contact number you got from one of your other lads. Let them duke out between themselves...

Excellent baiting! Brava. I laughed out loud at the sheer panic in his writing. Great baits with plenty of lad anxiety and with minimal effort. That is how it is done. Brava, again!

It gets better. After talking to this lad for a bit about the other fake lad, he sends this email with the subject line "You are not wise"
