It's probably malware - the attached "datasheet" wasn't a zip file was it by ny chance? |

I get a lot of email offering 'product brochures' and similar files, often with little or no info to read in the main body.
Obviously, unless you are on a sacrificial computer (one used only for baiting that can easily have a drive image reinstated) don't click on these attachments! Viruses, keyloggers and other nasties await. |

If it doesn't have an attachment it may be a product lad. Definitely so if they ask if you take credit cards. Yes, you do! |

If the email really has a file attached, the file is probably a virus.
Zip files are attached to emails, they are files, that are compressed.
Never open any Zip or other file sent by email, unless you are expecting it, and you know the person who sent it. If you know the person, contact them and ask if they sent it.
Do you have anti virus software? Its worth the investment. |

Was on my phone while looking at it which explains why I wasn't seeing the attachment. When I checked on the computer it was a .html. Figured it was a sketchy file since it wasn't the usual picture or form that lads send. |

A compressed file created by WinZIP or similar.
Used by virus distributors to hide malware from email virus checkers - when you unzip it, the malware will be installed. |
