Lately I've had a rash of Baits that were ended because Lad E-mail accounts were suddenly closed. I'd guess a half dozen in just the last week. Is anyone else having this trouble?

Hopefully they'll recover my Addy and I'll get them back but so far notta.....

I've had two this week that have contacted me from New Addys saying the old ones were closed. I'm glad they kept a file of their Marks.

I've got one lad who is on his 3rd email address now and I do have a load who have been quiet since the weekend, but I haven't written to them to chase them up, so don't know if the emails are dead or not.

I'm glad it didn't happen during the 500 in 6. It can waste a lot of my time and is bad for business. I'm hoping whoever is killing the accounts didn't get them all. I miss my pets when they go away. Laughing

I have not seen it with longer term baits, however I've had more than a few new baits in the last couple weeks where the account was suddenly closed.

Yeah, doesn't that make you really appreciate the good and active citizens who at a great personal expense and loss of time from their personal lives protect the rest of the world from this scum by reporting the fraudsters' email accounts. Truly, it brings a tear to my eye and I think The Government(tm) should start a program to pay these cornerstones of the society for the invaluable work they do. I think I'll go start an online petition right away. Who's with me?!

The number of text bots grabbing the email addresses from the forums posts almost doubled in the last months - and the number of sites re-posting those email addresses increassed recent. Are few groups online making a personal crusade from closing email addresses reported for being used in spams/scams. I am sure the old members here have not forgotten the nuns from the Sisters of Spam cyber convent...

Something is going on...I've received two different shotgun style warning emails to a baiting addy. To me and the cc list the lad had on his email.

I sent polite emails to them both about SW and Eater. One said he/she is a member of Eater and the other started baiting because of Eater.

I'm not getting the responses that I should be getting from lads and a few of my baits have stopped.

This morning I got a asem style pidgin email along with 198 others...

The sender has his/her email listed at several baiter frequented guest books.

I've been experiencing this on-and-off for a couple of months now, but the numbers seem to be steadily climbing. Gmail have that great big panel they show occasionally, encouraging spam reporting and of course their big red banner. Clearly some people enthusiastically make use of these, I'm sure. I suppose from our point of view it really is irrelevant - it matters not how the embuggerisation exercise is performed by different people it's still effectively throwing obstacles at the lads, which is all we can hope for.

I've recently had one lad come back to me after an absence of three months and he just carried on where he had left off - blaming my character for the delay, of course!

It may be irrelevant in the baiting sense but having the accounts closed matters when it comes to keeping track of them at SW. If they are forced to open a new account to scam from, victims will not be able to find anything on them if they search their new email address.

My reporting account (I don't bait) is acting strange as well. I'm getting "we've closed your ticket" from reports I sent two months ago. (The sites were down two months ago as well.)

My reply is, "Gee, thanks. Huh?" Different ticket numbers, different subjects, all really strange.

I'm left thinking, "WTF?"

^ That happens to me from time to time. I figure it's just hosting companies going through their backlog. I just ignore it and keep burning sites. All you can do.
