I go to a Hispanic church and would like to talk about baiting in Spanish, as this quarter the church is focusing on an area of Africa which includes the West African scam belt. There are baiters who speak German, Finnish, Dutch, and various other languages. How do you talk about baiting in those languages?

No. Google doesn't know how to translate "scambaiting" or "baiter" into Spanish, and the translation it gives for "scam baiter" doesn't make sense.

Other languages have terms for fraud, or to describe what we do, even if there are not direct translations for some of the terms we use in English. Do you speak Spanish? If not, I'm not sure how you're going to share information in Spanish, but if you'd like help with translations you can always post in Scambaiting help with a request for help from a Spanish speaker.

Now might be your chance to add to the language. is there a word in Spanish for baiting; like badger baiting or bear baiting? If not then standard terms like "social engineering" would be appropriate.

In catalan I use "ensarronar" literally, to put someone into a sack, meaning to trick, to put someone in an embarrassing situation through deceit. In spanish, I guess you could use "encerrona" as a synonim of "bait" which means pretty much the same, but the verb... Can't think about one. Maybe engañar/joder/pillar a los timadores, but that's not nearly as beautiful.
In french I just know that baiting is croque-escroc, "chow a scammer". Pastor Frank, being from Montreal will be able to tell us more.
When I speak in german with Robet Heinrich, we just use germanised versions of english terms (e.g. Baiten for baiting)

Wiktionary has both senses of the verb "bait" ("put bait on to attract" and "annoy") but not translations for the second. Wikipedia has an article on bull-baiting, which is "hostigamiento de toros" in Spanish. So we could say "hostigamiento de timadores".

"Bait" is from Germanic, so using it in German doesn't sound too strange.

"Xlura" is Lojban for "bait" in the first sense.
