Once you set up your catcher account (prob best to use gmail as it does not trace back to your IP addy) sign it up to the lad shuttle to get your scam e-mails. next shuttle leaves in a day or two

Don't do any work complying with the scammer's demands.
Keep in mind that you're meant to be stupid, and being stupid is a good reason to fail with demands that require too much effort.
An initial reply like
| Quote: |
I regret that I don't quite folloow the intent of your e-mail. Are you suggesting that there is some problem with my banking arrangements ?
Please let me know if there is something you require from me as I have not had any problems or issues in the past.
All the best regards |
Their opening plot is usually pretty complex and improbable and they really enjoy repeating it to you several times.
It helps to establish that they're smart and you're dumb, and then slowly turn the tables on them.
The trick is to do what they do to victims. You get them to invest time and effort in you and, if they believe they're going to get money in the end, they won't be able to let go. There's a cruel ironic justice in baiting. |
