Well, what do you know. I'm baiting an orphan lad who doesn't use much script but far be it from him not to request a passport scan in his second email. I was too busy over weekend to bother even reading his mail and this few days of ignoring him had prompted him to write me another email:

Lad wrote:

Dear Sir,
I do not mean that you must me your passport compulsorily.
What I mean is that I am suppose to know whom I am dealing with, that is to know where I am transferring the money to, there is no problem if you do not have a passport, why I sent you my passport is for you to know that I am serious over the issue and once I receive the information then I will also forward to you the banking document which my father gave to me which is the bone of contention.
You can write it down for me please.

Dropping for a couple days can work wonders sometimes. Try telling a stubborn Lad to cancel the deal because you do not use Western Union or Moneygram and only do Bank Transfers then drop them sometime. Sometimes they'll cave and send a bank account, sometimes they'll come at you with a different script. At least if they come at you with a second script they already expect you to be willing to drop them rather than pay by WU or MG.

Next time you 'forget' about the passport/photo ID demand and your lad later brings the subject up. Tell him he must choose between ID or the fees. But he can't have both. If he asks why, say it's for reasons best known to yourself.

I have a liking to "I sent my ID to Mr. Smith, your associate. Ask him for my ID." Optionally, you can also say that Mr. Smith then asked you to send a payment.

the lad strangely has more pressing matters than harassing you about ID after that Wink
