Greetings everyone, I haven't delved into the world of scams or scambaiting in years.
I received some unfortunate news yesterday, my old friends grandmother is being scammed hard right now and is refusing to listen to anyone telling her she's being scammed. She has given them over $50k ($20k just today I learned!).
I really could use a hand in getting her some help, she doesn't trust anyone that tries to talk to her about it.

Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry about your friend's grandmother.

I'd recommend that you go to our sister site scamwarners.com

And send a private message to a moderator (there names are in green) and give them more info.

If you do that, you will get help you need.

Scamwarners.com is definitely your best option. Maybe with enough evidence you can convince her. Unfortunately it can be hard when people are deeply hooked.

Best of luck to you in helping her from falling more deeply.

Have you contacted the police as well? When we are talking about such amounts of money lost, they might be interested. I'd reckon they might also have some luck with the convincing.

If you're 100% positive she's being scammed and can get hold of any evidence, her local police would be my first port of call.
Even without evidence, I'd still give them a shout. Ask for a home visit if possible.

Before they come, Scamwarners for educating her about scams (if she'll read it).

I'm not expert on this but i'm pretty certain that this mater isn't going to end well for the victim. Even if the scammer was arrested and money recovered this is going to leave a mark on victim. Some counceling may be in order afterwards but that is a subject i'm even less proficient to talk about.
