... Or are lads asking for bank account information more often than usual? Is this just a coincident or maybe a trend caused by lads changing their scripts?

^^^ It would seem like that. I have a few lads that have been asking me to fill a form that asks all the usual questions and the bank info. Few lads have dropped me immediately when i didn't give the demanded information. I would say that this is part of some new script that is making rounds.

My lads have pretty much always had forms or a series of questions. I usually will just type fake info and tell them they have to fill them out for me. No scanner, etc.

I was dropped when I didn't give bank account details too. I'm not really familiar with how legit bank accounts are supposed to look like in the first place, so I'm not really successful in such baits. Last time I told a lad to send the money via Western Union... Still waiting a reply from him lol

If he's insistent, I'll give him another lad account and claim it's "offshore" for just the kind of transfer he's talking about. Since they don't really need it and will ignore it immediately, that covers it every time.

And heck, on the off chance they DID do something bad to it...all the better!

It seems now that these lads are just phishing for bank information. Not sure what they can do but if they have a picture of an ID then i quess they might be able to steal from the bank. They just need to find a person who looks right.

I don't think there has been an increase in scammers requesting bank accounts at the start. I went back and looked at my longest-lived baiting account and 9 out of of the first 10 scams I baited from it asked me for bank details (late 2001).

So this is really nothing new. In all these cases I eventually gave them some utterly false bank details (Most of the time, a name of a bank, a city and a made up 8 to 10 digit number) and they never said one more word about it. (But wow, I was not a very good baiter back in those days).

Yes, I think more lads are asking for bank accounts, and passport info too. When I send fake info, and passports pose problems, the lads drop me. I think the reason is that many of the ******** have been so well baited that they may even drop victims. And that gives me a warm glow inside Smile
