Research: How many baiters in first email?

I recently noticed that in the first email I received from a lad, there were like 30 more email addresses in the CC field.

Out of curiosity, I've made some research (alright, I just googled them and looked at the first results) on those addresses to check out for fellow baiters and even possible real victims, and I'm quite surprised at the results:

Definitely baiters: 15
Definitely lads: 5
Probably lads: 3
Probably baiters: 2
Didn't find out: 5
-----------------------
Total recipients : 30

I suppose there are so many baiter addresses in this lot because they were collected altogether with mine from guestbooks or same source. The same with the lad addresses, they must have been collected along with baiters from guestbooks.

I don't know if lads have a "quality" criteria on the address lists they manage. The ones in guestbooks must be really low if they have. Surprised

If you send the address list to a mod, they might have ways of dealing with any real victims?

Are you checking for baiter character names or baiter real-life names? Unless you're my mentor or participated in a co-bait with me, you wouldn't know my real-life address from Adam's, but emails lads send to my real-life address I post in Surplus.

^^ I googled the email addresses, nothing to do with RL or usernames here in Eater.

The criteria to classify an address as "definitely a baiter" was if the search resulted in guestbook entries with comments like "I've received an inheritance, looking for foreign investment opportunities" "loaded and looking for a romance overseas" and so on.

Of course no relationship at all with the site or users in the site, and also not a 100% risky-free assertion, but most probably the addy corresponds to a baiter. So it should be "most probably a baiter" instead Smile

I also found some of the emails in guestbook/blog entries with the typical loan initial script (the lad who sent this is also a loan lad).

I'll also pass on the original email with all the addys to a mod just in case.
