...I'm here to pass the 419 scammers to anyone who's in the mood to scambait them.

I've come across this forum back in 2007 to 2008, and I've read about how some scambaiters have successfully taught the 419 scammers a good lesson or two.

I'm not sure if I'd already signed up back then, but I was able to sign up with my usual username today. So either I didn't use this one before, or I just didn't sign up back then.

In any case, the scammer I came across today came in through my boss' LinkedIn account. My boss is a DC CEO, and this was what the lad sent him, which I intercepted then marked as spam:

I am Oliver Alawuba an accountant by profession, and acts as a private consultant to some clients in Ghana ranging from top business personals, serving and retired Army. Colonel, Lieutenant-Colonel and top Government functionaries whose privacy is shrouded in topmost secrecy.

As stated above I have client's mandate to seek for a reputable, and well-established individual to help channel some funds into profitable investment abroad. The proposed funds are an estimated ($20,000,000.00 million) and he his specific in investing these funds outside the Ghana.

Meanwhile, I have worked out the moralities and technicalities whereby the funds can be claimed in any of our 6 Clearing Houses without any hitches. Our sharing ratio will be 50-50%. If you are interested, you should send your direct phone number so we could discuss more on phone as regard the transaction.

I hope you will treat my request with expediency as time is of great importance to my client. Waiting to hear from you immediately. Reply only and directly to me private email address ([email protected])

Well, i thought that we would have uses for you. Just take time to read any sticky threads and while you are at it look also all the other FAQs involving baiting so you know what others need to operate. Specialy find out what ITP means that is kind of important for the continued existence of the board.

There's lots you can do besides baiting. Posting in Suplus is good, better still you can post their details at Scamwarners.com, our partner site which allows potential victims to find out how the scam works and so avoid falling for it. Alternatively you can write up fake bank sites for their hosts and registrars to get them shut down. Lots of those to do! Welcome in any case. Wink
