This is my second bait. My first one went dead after the third email. On this one, I keep stalling, and told the lad I needed a death certificate...and he sent one! Looks like an actual death certificate with my "dead uncle's" name P-touched over a real name. Now he wants my photo ID. How do I keep stalling, or should I photo-shop something. I see where sending any type of fake ID is frowned upon.

I usually tell my lads I don't have a drivers license due to a driving while intoxicated charge. And the only ID I have is my library card. Then I just make up a 12 character string of letters and digits and say that's my library card number.

Or you can say your license has expired and you have to renew it next week.

Or you can send him a file he can't open (I like to duplicate a mp3 file and rename it as .jpg ).

Others recommend something simple as just sending him an unclickable link and when he can't open it, it's his fault. Example:

Thanks for the welcome! I have tried to get a mentor, but the system keeps rejecting me, saying all mentors are assigned.

Well, since you have a second post now, try again. I know at one time there were problems when signing up.

But until you get a mentor assigned, make sure read the stickies, read the threads, and don't be afraid to ask questions.

There are lots of folks who can give you good advice and help until your mentor is assigned.

And most importantly--bait safe. You want an email account not tied to your real-life identity. Lost of folks here use gmail.

I have said this more often than my experience should allow, but i think that this should be told to everyone: These are criminals we are dealing with. Give them nothing and take everything you can. This means that you should never give them anything they can use to get you or anyone else. And in exhange do not feel bad if some lad whines to you because some leg breaker came to collect a debt from him. He is a criminal and a scammer: Therefore he lies a lot!

Lads lie a lot and will almost certainly do so if it is beneficial to them. They even lie when a simple truth would work just fine. It is not unusual that they trip on their own lies. You just play dumb and watch the show.

The first few baits you lose fast and that's ok. Patience is key. This place is full of continuous learning, all from the best in the business here. Take advantage of the reading and Eater Univ., and of course ask lots of silly questions if you like jokes (sometimes directed back at you.) Some even give decent answers, like the ones above here.

You asked for a death certificate, and got one. Excellent. I always love a good death certificate. One of my favorite ones I read, "Ded from bullets shooting true chest body," or something like that. Very Happy

If you have a lad you are not bothered about losing. It can be a proper hoot, asking them to first send you, the same types of ID they want from you as proof, they are genuine. Once you get as much ID as they can offer. Say you are not going to send any because only a fool sends ID to a complete stranger that can be used for fraud. Razz

Never send a lad a convincing photochopped ID, they can use it.
There are plenty of alternative things you can do...
