Hello all,

Recently I received some emails on my companymail, obviously scammails.
A co-worker and I dove into the matter of scam-mails, and discovered 419 eater, and ebolamonkeyman. I thougt that hooking up with some dude, and try to waste his time was a much more rewarding thing to do, than just deleting the mails.
Yesterday I caught my first scammer, Professor Connor Cooper of the UN, and he let me know the sum of $7,5 mil. dollars was left to me by a dead relative. Wonder where this is going to end.

Have a good read through Eater University and the sticky topics in Help, Hints & Tips and sign up for a mentor using the link in my signature line or the one in HH&T if you might want some assistance.

Most important is to bait safe and have fun!

Ebolamonkeyman was my first encounter as well (and I'm your mentor - so please PM me Laughing

). Please don't bait these folks from your work email - that is dangerous because it links to your real-life identity. You need to create a free, anonymous email account on something like Gmail or Yahoo to bait them. I can walk you through it if you aren't sure how to switch to these safer services Cool

Hi Bearkat,

Luckily I was smart enough to visit ebolamonkeyman and 419eaters, and read a lot before I got into my first encounter with a scammer. I set up two new emailaddresses under a fake name, I made up a character and a background, set up a phonenumer using K7 and added a greeting.
I also use TOR, whem I`m mailing the scammer. Safety first!

Tor might be bit of an overkill. Not going on tangent about IP address hysteria here, but...

Otherwise "safety first" is a great principle.

He was a very fun lad to bait (and gave up several bank accounts) and every now and then he still emails me. You'll have a fun time baiting him.
