I'm sure - as we've seen in the past - that if it was to come between your lad getting his money or not, he'd happily see your character sell their body.

He is, after all, talking about non-existant funds which will never materialise. Therefore, the lad is only showing fake compassion in order to lend credibility and integrity to his lies.

Maybe he genuinely does dislike the idea of prostitution; but, like I've mentioned, he'd turn a blind eye if it meant the only means of him wringing money out of his victim.

The bottom line is, he's scum. Like all scammers.

The hypocrisy of lads never ceases to amaze. Prostitution is very bad but scamming people out of their hard earned money isn't?

I've yet to see a lad who has a shred of sympathy for the hurt, humiliation and loss they inflict on their victims. He may appear sympathetic but it is no more than a ruse to get everything he can from his victim.

Sympathetic lads are more the exception than the rule, but they exist. You might just have stumbled upon one.

Or maybe, as the others suggest, he just tried to appear as such.

Of course he doesn't care if I have to amputate an arm to get him the money, when it comes to it.

But I was surprised by his remark. Of course I slapped him from it, and asked him how he could even think that the job that I love and do is bad! After a while he came back with

Okay, I can say this with complete confidence. The lad is NOT sympathetic to you or even prostitutes. I don't know in what context you told him you are a prostitute but he merely seized that opportunity to pretend like he cared.

He's pretending that he cares so you think he has your best interest at heart. This way you'll trust him more and are that much more likely to send him cash.

Lets look at it as it is. He promising to send money that doesn't exist. Yet he promise it so the victim can start to imagine life where she doesn't have to hook anymore.

Now then, in order to get this non existent money, the victim is going to have to pay fees up front. The up front fee demands will never stop coming no matter how many times the lad promises the next fee will surely be the last.

The lad's plan is to steal every dime she has and every dime she can borrow. In the end the victim will be a broke, in debt and still a prostitute. So, ask yourself this, if our noble lad really felt sympathy for the victim because she's a prostitute then why would he make things 100 times worse for her?

The lad does not give two shits for his maga, prostitute or not. He only sees her as money and nothing else.

This idiot is just trying to make it seem like he has her best interest in mind so she will see him as a friend. He really doesn't care or possess any sympathy for the victim. The lad wants to steal all her money for crying out loud.

The proof is in what he said himself. All you have to do is read into it a little

Oh, so now he's suddenly okay with her being a whore. Or rather his opinion of prostitution being "very bad" suddenly changed to it being a nice job. Come on now. The lad just wants to continue the illusion that the lad is on her side so she will trust him.

You can cut it or justify it in any way you want. In the end, the lad makes off with all the money he can steal from the prostitute victim and the victim will more than likely lose a life changing amount of money or worse. She may be in debt with people you don't want to be in debt with. If she has family, then likely she drug them down with her.

So, to close, lads do not care about their magas. Magas are only money to them. If they can make it see like they care, they will, but only to make the money come in that much easier, smoother, and for longer periods of time.

Anyone who thinks the lad's sincerity or sympathy is genuine is being naive. Not to mention, hasn't payed much attention to the evils lads do for money.

I'm glad the prostitute is just a character you are playing and not the real thing.

The thing is, the moment I mentioned (in the middle of a longer text) what line of business the character was in, he picked up on that and out of the blue came with that line.

All the rest of the conversation was exactly as I expected so I was kind of surprised by this.

It's nice to see they can still surprise me a little bit Smile

I can imagine some of the things that went through the lad's mind during your communication.

That last one is very relevant to the point you are making. The lad made a smart move with that ad lib, showing mock disapproval of your character - his maga - being a prostitute. The maga is desperate, and therefore a prosititute to make ends meet. Dire circumstances. An easy target for such a scam.

By the lad saying that, albeit out of the blue, he is getting on the side of the character by showing compassion. And, as Ghost has pointed out, he is allowing his maga to imagine what life would be like without having to sell her body to strangers; having more money than she ever had or ever would in her life. The completely spurious sympathy is nothing more than a cheap attempt to garner trust, with the view of eventually robbing the poor prostitute - the dumb maga - of everything she has, and more.

Well that is what lads, or any conman for that matter, do. Are you really surprised that a lad would try to make it appear that he genuinely cares for his victim? Anyway, consider this. If the lad can get you, a baiter, to think he actually cares, what chance do you think a real victim has.

Now, that doesn't bear thinking about. Considering the relatively low number of people that would believe in the con in the first place, embellishing the scam with pretended sympathy and a sense of friendship, really gives the lad a lot of leverage over his potential victims. Unfortunately. Sad
