Well, I created a facebook account with a truly appetizing profile. But since this is my first account evaah, even after reading all the help topics over there I am still at a loss. How do they find me? 
As far as I can see, I have no way of randomly browsing facebook hoping to stumble across interesting persons. Which means that I am hopeless.  |

I don't "do" (or "get") Facebook but my guess would be you should join some likely looking Facebook groups. |

You can join zoosk or something along those lines--that's probably the fastest way.
Or, I can give you some names of scammers to try to friend. |

There are plenty on facebook--spend some time at scamwarners and you'll quickly see that. |

scammers have their own facebook page (It's a pet peeve of mine). I've reported it twice and farcebook's done jack shit about them.

Lads' silence on facebook explained: The default settings were "view restricted to friends" or something to that effect. Now I switched it to "may be seen by all and sundry".
In the meantime I've created a very scammable profile at a dating site, and - as advised by a very helpful member here - will point the scammers to my facebook profile for added credibility. |
