Well, to be honest with you, it'd help a lot if you'd keep the details posted. We also have several scam warners in our community, and I'm sure they'd like to see the info just in case this is a new scammer nobody knows about yet.

If nothing else, a skeptical victim might Google the scammer's name or some of his script, and if that search led him here he could be sure it really is a scam, and not be pulled in by it.

So, please don't remove the scammer's details. Those details could save someone from this particular scammer.

I am having a 3 weeks vacation from work next weekend and i can go anywhere for this period before being transferred to another country, i am actually planing on getting back home... Communication here is not as easy as being at home but i just figured out how to communicate better here and i cant wait to be hpome for my vacation.
I am very happy we could reach this stage where I'm able to express myself and tell you more about me, i guess that's what this is all about and i hope i didn't bore you to death. Smile

I was born in Nebraska but left with my parents to Brazil when i was just 3yrs old. My Mom is from Brazil while Dad from Nebraska, I school in Brazil, I graduated from Rio De Janeiro states university, I grew up there and live all my life there. I lost my Mom when I was 17 and things was very tough but I am happy that i have gotten over that even though I still miss her so much. As you can see on my profile that I am the only child. I am happy to be who i am today because of my parents.. My Mom was a Nurse too and she wanted me to become a pediatrician before she died, so this is why I'm a nurse and using my knowledge to help children. I got to Dayville 3yrs ago after my studies, I enjoyed my work but sometimes its weird because of traveling and not being able to get to meet someone to call "My darling" and this is why I decided to give chemistry a shot. I am thinking i might have to quit my job once i found someone i love and have a family as I will want to spend the rest of my life with my them and will not want anything to take me away from them. I know it will be hard for my family or my partner to see me travel this way so i might eventually work at a local hospital near my house and family..
My hobbies are Swimming, Reading, watching movies, Traveling, Spending time at the beach, skiing and i Wish i could go different places with my partner, hopefully Sydney or Hawaii sometimes soon. Got the details of the header, which (not surprisingly) came from Lagos, Nigeria. We chatted for over a week, and just today, she FINALLY asked me to send her money for her flight home for her vacation from her "job". I can't believe it took that long...talk about dragging it out. She had some pictures of a pretty decent looking girl in Paris. It's a damn shame. She really went all out, even had the flight information for a real flight from Lagos, to Amsterdam, to Newark, to Hartford all planned out.
Maybe one of you has the will to mess around with her. I just didn't feel like investing the time or effort (I mean hell! I'm trying to find a real girl here!).

Pretty much same rundown... emailed/chatted for about a week and then the hit-up for money on how she couldn't get home. I reported to chemistry.com but going to cancel my membership anyways, I don't like it much at all.

The email header didn't show a Nigerian IP. When I put it through an analyzer, it said Romania. Here's the header:

you all should be posting this at scamwarners.com (link at top of page) - they take e-mail addys & letters, etc. and post them so a simple search will turn up that person as a scammer...or a part to a scripted letter that was used by someone else...

Then post the details here and someone will have fun with them for awhile Smile

If I could play a man, don't do well at it, I'd go after the 1st one - she sounds dangerous to real men...

I was also contacted by a scammer using the same story. He is going by the name of Tania Brooks, but through my own investigation, I found out this scum's real name is Olanade Lateef from Ibadan, Nigeria. I'm a newbie at this whole scamming thing. This is the first time I've ever been in contact with a scammer. The story didn't quite add up, so I googled parts of the story and it brought me here. Thanks to this site I was able to save myself the time and trouble of getting scammed. If anyone wants to take a shot at baiting this scammer, give it a go. I found him on Chemistry.com, women searching for women in Houston, TX. I'd love to hear about this scum getting scammed himself and baited. Twisted Evil

He's using the email [email protected] He's not too creative... so his headers will only be the name Tania.
Also find him on myspace with the same yahoo email. That's actually how I caught onto knowing it was a scam. He had created a myspace account with that yahoo email, but used his real name and location (Olonade Lateef in Ibadan, Nigeria).

Hello there damnscam, and welcome to eater.

First of all, good job on finding out it's a scammer before any harm was done.

I strongly advise you to stop communicating with the scammer. Just stop replying, don't take up your phone (if she has your number), just ban her out of your life. Eventually she (actually a he) will get the message and stop harassing you. There's no need to worry, they aren't interested at all in hunting down people that stop replying. Nobody will come to visit you and threaten you. Since they have your email adress, you might get other scam formats in your inbox. Just delete them immediately and that's all you're ever going to see from them.

So, you really have nothing to worry about Smile

While I am not actually baiting, I specialise in email hunting. So some interesting things here to work on and find out the extent of this ones misdeeds. I like an active scammer because they can be hunted down. I just like to maximise the damage done to them to a global extent.
